A Look at the History of Kennett School Buildings

This weekend, my son returned home for the 30-year reunion of the Kennett High School Class of 1988.  This and the starting of construction on the new Kennett Middle School has me thinking of the different schools located in Kennett.

How many schools do you remember that was located in Kennett?  How many did you attend?

The Delta Dunklin Democrat recently printed an interesting article about the first brick school building in Kennett, which was built in 1891 just south of the Kennett Square. The current Kennett Middle School building, which is featured in the DDD article, was constructed in 1913 and served as the high school until the current high school campus was established in 1954.
